Bookies Close Betting On Year Of Royal Engagements As 2011 Is A Certainty After nearly ten years of betting on when and if Prince William and Kate Middleton will get married, William Hill have finally waved the white flag and have closed their betting on an engagement and what year they get married. Hills are convinced that the happy couple will walk down the aisle in 2011 and have opened a market on which month the wedding will occur in and make June the odds on favourite at 1/2 with July a 3/1 shot. Hills are also betting on the honeymoon destination making Mustique their 4/1 favourite, Australia 10/1, Scotland 16/1 and Magaluf the outsider at 500/1. "Almost every bet we have taken in the last six months suggests a 2011 wedding and as a result we have decided that the market is no longer viable. It is now simply a question of which month and where they are going on honeymoon," said Hill's Royal correspondent Rupert Adams.
